This is an exquisite handmade lace jacket from the turn-of-the-century. It is a beautiful ecru color with a slight sheen, so there is probably some silk in the thread. A very wearable style, it's lightly shaped, so it is beautiful closed or open. It's in excellent condition and would fit a small to medium size. This soft peach peignoir by Hermine is beautifully made. The fine cotton ecru lace is hand appliqued to peach silk georgette in all the right places. In fact, the entire garment is hand sewn, from the french seams to the floaty hand rolled hem. I've shown it over a simple bias cut off-white slip. Slip not included. It ties on the inside with thin georgette ties, and on the outside with long wider sashes, which makes it adjustable. A beautiful and delicate pale sky-blue dress of cotton lawn from the 1920's by the Paris Couture House of Boue Soeurs. These two sisters were known for lovely confections, such as this dress, in soft pale colors with handmade laces, tucks, and embroidery from Venice.
