Gorgeous Art Deco period silk fringed lame shawl with a stylized roses print in a gold lame swirl on black silk crepe de chine. The body of the shawl itself is approx. 42" by 44", and the long black silk fringe is about 22" long. It's in excellent condition to wear or drape over a piano.
Adorable 50's plastic suitcase-shaped handbag with gold metal hardware. The bright orange inside lining says "Lewis, Made In Italy". The zipper compartment works and the metal hardware features decorative studs and little buckles. In a dark navy blue velvet with cornflower blue and dark blue glass beads, this is a beautiful example of 20's art deco style. The label is nearly as cute as the hat with it's sweet flapper face and deco pennimode lettering. It's in good wearable condition, but some of the silk velvet is a little worn on the folds and on the edges of the bow. This is a real cutie. It's actually made of a boucle knit over the buckrum form, and has these wonderful velvet apples and leaves with red velvet ribbon to contrast with the warm taupe color. There is no label and it's in excellent condition, and measures 13" across.
This fetching and very flattering hat is from the early 60's or late 50's. It's very beautifully made from the crown with it's huge soft bow, to the lace-lined inside brim. It has both the designers label, "Collette Cathay" and the shop label "R Dee Shoppe" from Stockton, Ca. where it was sold. It was very carefully stored and is in like-new condition, and measures 14" across and 20" inside hat band.
