#VS354 1970s Roberto Cavalli Leather Suit / Jacket / Skirt

Late 1970s Roberto Cavalli suit consisting of a velveteen jacket with printed rows of leather fringe, leather collar, and a suede leather V yoked skirt with three rows of printed leather fringe on the bottom. Cavalli patented a revolutionary technique for printing on leather, which was later widely adopted by the textile industry. This suit, apart from being saucy and imaginative, is also a little piece of fashion history. The jacket has lightly padded shoulders, snaps down the front, has piping around the neckline, front opening and bottom, and is unlined. A size small, it measures approx. 16 1/2" across the shoulders, up to 37" bust, 24" outside sleeve length counting the fringe, 38" hips, and 28 1/2" overall length. The skirt, which is also unlined, measures approx. 26 1/2" waist, up to 38" hips, and 23" length counting the fringe. The entire outfit is wonderfully soft and comfy to wear, with lots of movement, and it's in excellent, like new, condition. Additional photos are available upon request.
