Mexican Frida Kahlo Fiesta Dress from Chiapa De Corzo SOLD
Gorgeous Mexican Fiesta dress worthy of Frida Kahlo. This dress, or Traje, is worn in festivals in Chiapa de Corzo, Mexico. It consists of a peasant style blouse in black satin with puffed sleeves under a huge net ruffle with amazing silk floss embroidery in a rainbow of beautiful colors. There is a drawstring to adjust the neckline. The blouse tucks into a 4 tiered net skirt with an embroidered waist band. The skirt is not quite a circle, but it's quite full. I've shown it over a black skirt, not included, because the colors look so lovely against black. The dress would fit a range of sizes, from small to large, by pinning the waist band. The top measures approx. up to 40" neckline, up to 46" bust, and 23" overall length. The skirt measures approx. up to 33" waist, and 34" skirt length. There are a couple of loose threads, nothing noticeable, that I tied off, but otherwise the outfit is in nearly perfect condition, and would be stunning worn at any fiesta.
