Vintage 40s Hungarian Embroidered Peasant Blouse Red and White



Unusual vintage 40s Hungarian peasant blouse with red and white hand embroidered flowers, leaves and matching smocking. The fabric is a soft cotton voile that drapes beautifully and is very comfortable to wear. A small size, about a 4-8, the blouse measures approx. up to 40" bust, up to 34" waist, 10" sleeve end openings, and 20" overall length. It's the sleeve openings and length that make it best for a small person. There are two 1/2" sections of red embroidery, one on the sleeve seam near the left neckline smocking, and the other on the top line of smocking on the inside left sleeve, that are missing. This is not noticeable, and could be repaired fairly easily. Otherwise, the blouse is in excellent condition. #VS608
