1950s Japanese Embroidered Painting

#TX024 1950s Japanese Embroidered Painting
Beautiful 1950s Japanese embroidered painting of a landscape with a Pagoda and bridge.  I believe this may be an example of Japanese Bunka Shisui work, which is a form of painting with thread.  In this case the landscape is hand painted with various embroidery stitches creating texture and detail.  The traditional scene is bright and unfaded, so the colors are quite intense and lovely.  Painted on rayon fabric, it measures approx. 24" wide by 17 1/2" tall.  This textile was very carefully stored, so it is in excellent, like new, condition.
