1920s Chinese Silk Embroidered Shoes



Lovely 1920s Chinese embroidered shoes in peacock blue silk with pink and aqua flowers and butterflies with green and yellow accents. These shoes, with their small western heels, were made for export. It's hard to tell the size, but they appear to be about a US size 6 1/2 - 7. The measurements are approx. 9" from inside toe point to inside heel, 2 3/4" at widest point of ball of foot, but that's the measurement of the leather sole, so the fabric part is actually wider. There is some very slight fraying at the toe of the left foot, but the fabric is not worn through at all. Whether you wear the shoes or just use them for display, they are in excellent condition. #VA070
