#VD468 Edwardian Lace and Linen Wedding Dress SOLD
Lovely Edwardian wedding dress in white linen and lace that was worn by Ella Johnson for her wedding in 1906 in San Francisco. The great San Francisco earthquake happened in that year, so I'm happy this dress survived. There are two different kinds of laces, the front center inserts being chemical lace to simulate Irish crochet, and the other is a bobbin lace. A very wearable size, about 8-10, the dress measures approx. 16" across the shoulders, up to 40" bust, 29" waist, 16" waist length, up to 42" hips, and 38" skirt length. There are two small holes, as shown in the last photo. One is about 1/4", and the other under 1/8". They are on the back skirt, but worn over a white slip or petticoat, they wouldn't show. Otherwise, the dress is in excellent wearable condition.
