#VD472 1930s Red Dress from Audree Gay SOLD

Wonderful 1930s red rayon crepe dress by Audree Gay, Creations of California.  It's quite rare to find an afternoon dress from this period in such great condition, but it's the styling that makes it so special.  There are so many beautiful elements, from the gathered and wrapped neckline, to the amazing bias cut peplum ruffle that goes around the back to form a double drape.  About a size 6-8, the measurements are approx. 36" bust, 28" waist, 38" hips, 17" waist length, and 27" skirt length.  To wear, study, or copy, the dress is a great find.  There is a 3/4" barely visible darkish spot on the front right bottom of the skirt, but otherwise, the dress is in excellent condition.
