#VD394 1950s Fira Benenson Couture Evening Gown Dress

Gorgeous 1950s Fira Benenson couture dress in layers of silk chiffon, organza, and crepe. Fira Benenson designed in the U.S. from the 40s when Paris became inaccessible, to the 60s for the high-end specialty store Bonwitt Teller. She designed for Grace Kelly, and her clothing is couture quality. This gown is a real masterpiece. The beautiful floral rose print is perfectly matched everywhere, in the full skirt, along the intricate seams on the back bodice, and in the many cutout flowers attached to the shoulder straps and front neckline. The label is attached to the inside back seam of the skirt lining. About a size 6-8, the dress measures approx. 38" bust, 28" waist, 15 1/2" waist length, 38" hips, and 38" skirt length. A rare find, and one of the loveliest floral prints I've seen, the dress is in excellent condition.
