#VS515 1940s Lilli Ann Wool and Velvet Coat SOLD

Fantastic New Look Lilli Ann coat from the late 1940s of black wool/fur blend and trimmed with black velvet and matching buttons. It has three labels, including the store, Roskins of San Bernardino. The Lilli Ann label coats and suits were sold in the finest stores, and the designer, Adolph Schuman, had access to French fabrics that other American designers did not have. This coat has a voluminous skirt that measures a full 121" around the bottom. About a size 10, it has been hemmed for a shorter length than original, and the bottom button is obstructed by the hem. I believe the sleeves were meant to be pushed up to show off gloves, because they are a little short. The measurements are approx. 15 1/2" across the shoulders, 21" outside sleeve length, 38" bust, 32" waist, full hips, and 41" overall length. Lined in black satin, the coat is in excellent condition.
