1940s Lace and Velvet Robe by Linda of California
Gorgeous vintage 40's silk velvet dressing gown with cotton lace that's worthy of any glamorous movie star of the period, like Veronica Lake, Barbara Stanwyck, or Lana Turner. The soft teal color is very unusual, and the Watteau back, with it's slight train, is so dramatic. I've never seen another dressing gown quite like this one. It would fit a size 6-10 because it wraps, but with the snaps where they are at the waist, it measures approx. 16" across the shoulders, 25" outside sleeve length, up to a 39" bust, 17" waist length, up to 30" waist, 40" hips, and 58" overall length in front, with the train about 6" longer. There is a very faint spot on the front right skirt panel near the hip, but it doesn't detract from this robe. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition.
