#VS305 Edwardian Handmade Lace Blouse

Exquisite turn-of-the-century, entirely handmade, bobbin lace blouse, of pale ecru silk thread in an amazingly intricate design. This is a rare find and a wonderful example of just how beautiful handmade lace can be. I've had this in my personal collection for over 20 years, and parting with it will be difficult because it's unlikely that there is another like it. However, I do enjoy sharing fine things with my customers. It's a small size, about a 4, and measures approx. 14" across the shoulders, up to 34" bust, 32" waist, 22" outside sleeve length, 18" neck opening, 15" mid-back neck to waist, and 18" mid-front neck to longest point at the waist. It opens in front on the left side and fastens with hidden snaps. There is one place on the right sleeve end where the threads have come loose on one of the petals, but otherwise, this museum piece is in excellent condition. More detailed photos available upon request.
