#VD002 1930s Black Silk Velvet Dress

This early 1930's dress has clear rhinestones with small gold studs surrounding the gathered neckline.  The slit back is characteristic of this glamorous period, and it makes this gown beautiful while entering or leaving.  It's hard to tell what the sleeves are like from the pictures, but I'll try.  The point on top that I'm holding up is closed, so the arm hole is under that.  There is a peplum over the black silk at the waist along with a black velvet belt.  Seven small black glass buttons with velvet loops close the back below the waist, and black velvet ties close the neckline above the back slit.  The bust will fit about 36", the waist up to 29", and the hips up to 37".  The waist length from the back mid-neck is 15-16", and the length of the skirt is approx. 44" mid-back and 42" on the side, but these measurements will vary depending on the wearer.  This is a wonderful gown in excellent wearable condition.
