1940s Chinese Embroidered Pajamas



Vintage 1940s silk satin Chinese pajamas in a wonderful shade of royal blue, with embroidered flowers and orange dragon, and gold and silver waves in couching at the hems of the jacket and pants. All the embroidery motifs are also outlined in metallic couching. The frog closures are hand made of silk satin, and the jacket is lined in a fine blue silk. The jacket top has the traditional Chinese non-tailored sleeves, so it would fit a range of sizes, depending on shoulder width. It's a medium size, with approx. 38" bust, 44" around the bottom hem, and 25" overall length. Usually, these jackets fit quite loosely. The pants are slightly adjustable at the waist, and measure approx. up to a 33" waist, 41" hips, and 41" from the waistband to hem. The pants are unlined. These embroidered pajamas are hard to find in this excellent, like new, condition, and each piece looks great worn together or seperately. #VS194
