Chinese Embroidered Festival Skirt

Beautiful Chinese wedding or festival skirt with very fine hand embroidery and metallic couching. There is an embroidered panel with floral and wave motifs on the front and back, and the sides have embroidered lines and hand sewn pleats. The main body of the skirt is Chinese red silk satin finished with metallic fringe along the bottom, and the off-white top is cotton and not meant to show. There are snaps where the skirt opens, but no real closing method on the cotton part, and a few of the pleats have loose tacking threads, but otherwise, the skirt is in excellent condition. A fairly small size, the waistband when closed is approx. 29", hips about 37", and the length is 38". #VS341
