#VD080 1950's Lanvin Cocktail Dress

Gorgeous vintage 50's couture Lanvin - Castillo silk dress in two shades of gray. Antonio del Castillo, a former architect, took over design for the House of Lanvin after the death, in 1946, of Jeanne Lanvin. His beautiful sculptural style is evident in this dress, with its bat-wing neckline and fantail peplum. The bodice is completely finished with boning to keep the shape and the skirt is lined. The two zippers in the back, there's a seperate one for the skirt, are hand sewn. The tag says size 38, which is about a size 2. The measurements are 33" bust, 24" waist, up to 37" hips, and about a 23" skirt length. The skirt has some slight scuffs as shown in the photo, and a barely visible stain on the back skirt hem, but these flaws are not very noticeable. Otherwise, the dress is in excellent condition.
