1940s Black and Gold Embroidered Dress SOLD



Late 1940s embroidered dress in black rayon crepe with the embroidery form known as couching. The gold metallic and colored threads are laid down in intricate lines and swirls and then painstakingly sewn on. The effect is quite jewel-like. About a size 8, the dress measures approx. 37" bust, 33" waist, 38" hips, and 42" overall length. I've included a gold braid belt from the 80s to give the dress more shape.
