| Gorgeous 40's tweed coat by Irene, the California designer who replaced Adrian in 1942 at MGM Studios. In 1935 she started doing custom work through Bullocks Wilshire. This coat, with its subtle leather detail on the collar, is in a beautiful wool herringbone tweed in black, gray and white on a yellow ground, which makes it have a slight greenish cast. Beautifully made and completely lined in black taffeta, it's about a size 8. It measures approx. 17 1/2" across the shoulders, 21" outside sleeve length, 37" bust, 31" waist, 40" hips, 42" overall length. There's enough fabric left in the sleeve ends to lengthen them. Excellent condition. | ||||||||||
